AMELIA HORTON – FOUNDER

A midwesterner at heart, Amelia was born and raised in the “mitten state,” AKA Michigan. With a father who built a business out of home development and construction, she grew up frequenting project sites and was taught how to use tools at a young age. Fun fact: her first-ever gift was a toolbox, complete with tools, from her grandfather. She still has it to this day. Amelia earned her degree in marketing at Eastern Michigan University before flexing her new skills on the marketing team of the biggest commercial contractor in the U.S. Here, she spent three years deepening her knowledge of the construction industry and building and implementing a successful digital marketing strategy from the ground up. Unable to ignore the lifelong calling toward entrepreneurship any longer, Amelia founded Serene MKTG with a vision to bring tailored marketing solutions to the interior design and home industries. Today, she leverages her deep understanding of the home industry, construction trades, and industry-specific lingo to craft bespoke strategies that elevate interior design and home brands.
